An elderly woman has died in hospital more than a week after being hit by a motorcycle, police confirmed.
The 74-year-old female pedestrian was hit by a Triumph Bonneville bike on Pollokshaws Road in Glasgow at about 7.45pm on Friday, December 12.
She and the 52-year-old man who had been riding the motorcycle were both taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
But Police Scotland confirmed the 74-year-old had died at the hospital on Sunday, December 21.
Officers are continuing to appeal for information about the incident, with Sergeant Jack Swindells saying: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died in this crash.”
He added: “Our inquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and hasn’t already spoken to officers to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and may have dashcam or private CCTV which could assist to review this and contact us with anything relevant.”
