Cottage fire causes A90 lane closure as fire crews tackle blaze

A fire at a cottage in Aberdeenshire has led to the A90 road being partly blocked.

Six fire engines and other appliances were called out to tackle the blaze at North Water Bridge, to the south of Laurencekirk.

The northbound carriageway of the A90 was closed as emergency services dealt with the incident, which came amid snowy conditions in the north of Scotland.

The fire was reported around 7.30pm on Saturday.
