A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 61-year-old following a “disturbance” on a Glasgow street.
James Greenhorn died following the incident in Dalness Close, in the Tollcross area of the city, on Monday afternoon.
On Wednesday afternoon, police confirmed a 30-year-old man has been arrested, and that inquiries remain ongoing.
Detective Chief Inspector David Lamont said: “Around 12.25pm on Monday February 9 2026, we were called to Dalness Close in Tollcross, Glasgow, following a report of a disturbance on the street.
“James Greenhorn, 61, from the Tollcross area, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is aware. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
He added: “Our investigation is ongoing and we are following a definite line of inquiry.
“Additional patrols are in the area and anyone with concerns or information can speak to any of our officers.”
