A man and a teenager have died after their vehicle crashed and caught fire.
Police responded to reports of a blue Vauxhall Astra on fire on the A830 at Corpach, near Fort William, at around 3am on Saturday.
The fire was extinguished by emergency services, and the bodies of two people were found within.
Formal identification has not yet taken place but the families of a man aged 44 and a boy aged 16 were informed.
Police believe the incident took place at around 1.45am the same morning.
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out and reopened at around 7pm on Sunday.
Police said inquiries are ongoing and have asked anyone with information to contact them.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay, of Police Scotland, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the people who died in this crash.
“It’s vital we establish exactly what happened and I’m appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“If you were on the A830 in the early hours of Saturday morning and saw anything which may help, please come forward.
“I’d also appeal to drivers with dashcam footage of the area around the time to review this for anything significant.”
Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0389 of 21 February.
