A man has been charged in connection with the death of a man in South Lanarkshire.
Police were called to a report that a man had died in the Hope Road area of Kirkmuirhill at about 3.30am on Sunday.
He has been named by police as Adam Lawson, 39, who was from the local area.
Police said a 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
He is expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court in due course.
