Police are hunting a man who subjected a teenage boy to a serious sexual assault in a “terrifying” incident in Paisley.
The assault happened on Meetinghouse Lane in the town centre at around 8.15pm on Tuesday.
The suspect is white and aged around 30 with long brown hair.
He was wearing a black gilet, a light coloured hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and black and grey Nike shoes.
Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
Detective Inspector David Hardie said: “This was a terrifying incident for the victim and it’s vital we trace the man responsible.
“I’m appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
“We’re particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen two males, one matching the suspect description, in the County Square area around 8pm.
“I’d also ask drivers with dashcams or residents with private CCTV or doorbell cameras to check your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 3664 of March 3, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
