Motorcyclist killed in three-vehicle crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed in a road crash.

The 57-year-old man died in the crash involving two cars and his motorcycle on the B7024 Alloway to Maybole road in South Ayrshire.

The collision happened shortly after 6.30pm on Friday north of Culroy, and involved a red Honda VFR800 motorcycle, a grey Omoda 9 Noble and a white Volkswagen Tiguan.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No-one else was injured.

Police Scotland Sergeant Neal Galbraith said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this collision.

“Our investigation to establish exactly what happened is ongoing and we would urge anyone who may have information to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash.

“Anyone who believes they can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2877 of March 13.”
