Police are treating a fire that ravaged a B-listed building in Aberdeen as deliberate.
A fire was reported in the disused Westholme building, in the grounds of Woodend Hospital on Eday Road, at around 9.48pm on Monday.
Around 60 firefighters and nine appliances attended the scene at the height of the incident, battling the flames through the night.
Police Scotland said on Wednesday the fire is being treated as wilful.
Much of the roof and internal structure of the building, which dates back to 1907, appeared to have collapsed.
There were no reported injuries, and a cordon remains in place to prevent members of the public from entering.
A spokesperson for NHS Grampian previously confirmed services at Woodend Hospital were running as normal, and they thanked the emergency services for their help.
The spokesperson added: “The building, Westholme, lies around 60 metres from the closest hospital building, and no areas involved in patient treatment are affected.”
