A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of an 82-year-old woman in Glasgow.
Elizabeth Colligan was found injured on Cardowan Road in the Carntyne area of the city at around 4.20am on Saturday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called.
Grant McKinnon, 30, was charged with murder when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
He also faced a charged under the Communications Act 2003.
McKinnon made no plea during the private hearing and was remanded in custody.
