Solihull Moors picked up their eighth win of the Vanarama National League season with a 2-0 win over Rochdale at the ARMCO Arena.
After a relatively quiet first half-hour, the visitors had the first chance of the game when Ian Henderson played a ball into Kairo Mitchell, but he skied over from close range.
The hosts broke the deadlock four minutes after the break when Joe Newton fed the ball into Jack Stevens, who calmly slotted home to make it 1-0.
Rochdale pushed for an equaliser with Adam Clayton’s effort being was well saved by Tommy Simkin, moments after Stevens was denied a second at the other end.
Solihull doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute after Simkin’s long goal-kick found Josh Kelly and he chipped over Rochdale goalkeeper Louie Moulden to seal the three points.
