Gillingham remain top of League Two despite a stalemate at Fleetwood.
Although the hosts dominated much of the possession, chances were few and far between, the first being a Mackenzie Hunt left-footed volley which was no trouble for Jake Turner in the Gillingham goal.
Tommy Lonergan should have put Fleetwood ahead on 21 minutes, but his free header from six yards out was glanced just wide. The forward had the ball in the net later in the half, but he was denied by the offside flag.
Gills nearly got themselves in front before the interval against the run of play, but Jayden Clarke placed a one-on-one chance inches wide of the post from close range.
Fleetwood continued to enjoy more of the play in the second half, sub Mipo Odubeko forcing Turner into a routine stop just after the hour before Rowe, on for Gills, tested David Harrington who palmed his powerful shot to safety.
Both teams had half-chances late on but the points were shared.
