Conor Wilkinson brace secures third straight win for Solihull

Conor Wilkinson fired a double as Solihull beat Tamworth 2-0 at home to secure their third straight National League win.

Wilkinson scored his 11th and 12th league goals of the season in fine style to help lift his side into the play-off places.

The former Walsall and Colchester striker crashed home a 30-yard shot midway through the first half, with the bounce catching out Tamworth goalkeeper Jas Singh.

Singh pulled off a superb save to deny Solihull’s Alex Whitmore before the interval but Wilkinson added their second, brilliantly creating space in the area before dispatching a low finish.
