Barrow ended their three-game losing streak by recording a shock 2-1 victory over League Two promotion-chasers Notts County.
Despite dominating possession during the early exchanges and entering the contest unbeaten in six at home, County found themselves behind in the 10th minute when Kian Spence converted Elliot Newby’s low cross from close range.
Stuart Maynard’s side responded well, with full debutant Mai Traore going close and Alassana Jatta heading against the crossbar following Jacob Bedeau’s corner.
With the interval stalling the hosts’ momentum, Leo Duru was inches away from extending Barrow’s advantage before Sam Foley’s 63rd-minute header from Ben Whitfield’s centre did exactly that.
Substitute Conor Grant’s right-footed shot reduced the deficit two minutes later, after he combined with Bedeau.
County thought they had snatched an equaliser during the closing stages but George Abbott’s drive deflected off Nick Tsaroulla, who was standing in an offside position, before reaching the back of the net.
County’s Charlie Whitaker saw an attempt fly off target during added time as Andy Whing’s men held on.
