Altrincham held by bottom club Ebbsfleet

Altrincham missed the chance to close back up on the Vanarama National League play-off places after being held to a 2-2 draw at bottom club Ebbsfleet.

Regan Linney gave the visitors – who had not won for six league games – a 17th-minute lead from the penalty spot, converting himself after being fouled by Ebbsfleet defender Mustapha Olagunju.

Ebbsfleet were back on level terms in the 32nd minute through Aaron Cosgrave’s fine strike from the edge of the box.

Olagunju then stabbed in from a corner midway through the second half to complete the turnaround, but Justin Amaluzor struck with 15 minutes left to leave Altrincham in eighth – three points behind Gateshead who lost at leaders Barnet.
