Omar Sowunmi earns Bromley dramatic draw at Barrow

Omar Sowunmi scored a dramatic stoppage-time leveller to secure Bromley a point from a thrilling 3-3 draw at Barrow.

The Bluebirds led three times through Ben Whitfield, Isaac Fletcher and Elliot Newby only for Michael Cheek, Nicke Kabamba and Sowunmi to cancel them out at Holker Street.

Bromley goalkeeper Grant Smith did well to keep out a Sam Foley effort.

Ashley Charles then gifted the hosts a 42nd-minute penalty when he wiped out Connor Mahoney, who had been recalled to the starting line-up, and Whitfield smashed the spot-kick down the middle.

Bromley levelled as Cheek headed home his 24th goal of the campaign five minutes after the restart only for Fletcher to restore the lead when he slotted home three minutes later.

Nathan Paul-Lavaly brilliantly put the ball on a plate for Kabamba to score his first goal for Bromley with 15 minutes left.

Substitute Emile Acquah nodded wide for Andy Whing’s side 10 minutes from time before Newby raced onto Wyll Stanway’s long throw to round Smith and hit Barrow’s third with five minutes left.

There was still time for Sowunmi to head home Cameron Congreve’s cross to seal a point.
