Rochdale take top spot in National League with convincing win at Wealdstone

Rochdale moved to the top of the Enterprise National League following a 3-1 win at Wealdstone.

Aidan Barlow gave the visitors a fourth-minute lead when he fired into the top corner following Devante Rodney’s cutback.

Rodney himself struck five minutes before half-time when he turned and fired past Dante Baptiste, who was beaten again within moments of the restart following Emmanuel Dieseruvwe’s header.

Alfie Massey pulled one back inside the final quarter of an hour but it was a mere consolation as Rochdale collected the three points to leapfrog Forest Green to the summit of the table.
