Fleetwood struck twice late on to claim a 4-2 League Two victory over Colchester at Highbury Stadium.
Colchester took a third-minute lead through Kyreece Lisbie, who netted at the far post from Jack Payne’s pass following Arthur Read’s quick free-kick.
But Ethan Ennis bagged Fleetwood’s 30th-minute equaliser when he converted – unmarked from a few yards – after Finley Potter had directed Denver Hume’s long pass into his path.
Colchester restored their advantage in the 39th minute when home defender James Bolton handled a strike in the penalty area by Payne, who scored the resultant spot-kick.
Fleetwood started the second half well though and Jordan Davies made it 2-2 in the 55th minute when he side-footed home unmarked from Ryan Graydon’s pass.
And the hosts led for the first time in the 87th minute when Davies superbly volleyed them ahead from 15 yards, following substitute Ched Evans’ assist.
Mark Helm then sealed Fleetwood’s win in the second minute of stoppage-time when he scrambled home Graydon’s low cross, from close range.
