Winger Chapman gave the Tynesiders a second-minute lead at Mazuma Mobile Stadium before Kain Adom doubled the lead just two minutes later.

Midfielder Pani added the visitors’ third with 10 minutes on the clock, prior to Chapman claiming his second of the evening to make it 4-0 with only 12 minutes gone.

Morecambe pulled one back in the 33rd minute when former Wales midfielder George Thomas converted his first goal for the club from close range.

Pani doubled his tally 18 minutes from time before Lewis Payne powered home another consolation in second-half added time.
