Tyrese Shade’s goal enabled Burton to battle back from behind to earn a deserved 1-1 draw at Doncaster in Sky Bet League One.
The hosts were much the stronger team in the first half but only had Matty Pearson’s header to show for their efforts.
And it proved costly as Burton were a side transformed after the break and found an equaliser from substitute Shade.
Charlie Webster hit the bar as Burton showed their threat on the break but Doncaster were well on top before the interval.
Luke Molyneux was denied by Burton goalkeeper Brad Collins but Rovers took the lead in the 31st minute when Pearson powered in a back post header from a Jordan Gibson cross.
Billy Sharp looked to have doubled the lead before the break when he turned in Tom Nixon’s cross, only to be flagged offside.
Burton boss Gary Bowyer made three changes at the break and instantly sparked his team into life.
James Maxwell cleared off the line from Jake Beesley, who saw a header strike a post soon after.
Shade grabbed the equaliser after meeting Webster’s fine delivery and finishing beyond goalkeeper Ian Lawlor to secure the point for Albion.
