Idris El Mizouni and Tyreeq Bakinson on target in Leyton Orient comeback win

Second-half goals from Idris El Mizouni and Tyreeq Bakinson saw Leyton Orient come back from behind to defeat Exeter 2-1 IN League One.

A penalty from former O’s loanee Jayden Wareham gave City the lead in a first half featuring three big calls from referee Ruebyn Ricardo.

The hosts were convinced that Exeter defender Dan Turns handled from a 21st-minute corner.

Ricardo instead gave Exeter a free-kick – and awarded the visitors a spot-kick in the 37th minute.

Reece Cole went to ground as Sean Clare challenged, with Wareham sending goalkeeper Killian Cahill the wrong way from the spot.

Jack Fitzwater appeared to tug Dom Ballard back shortly before half-time, with Clare and O’s manager Richie Wellens both booked when no penalty was given.

Cole almost put Exeter 2-0 up in the 75th minute, first by forcing a parry from Cahill and then heading the rebound against the post.

It proved to be pivotal as El Mizouni levelled a minute later. The Orient captain intercepted an attempt to play out from the back and although goalkeeper Joe Whitworth parried his shot, the ball rebounded off El Mizouni and into the net.

Bakinson then smashed the hosts ahead in the 81st minute to complete the comeback. Jack Simpson headed Charlie Wellens’ cross to the substitute, who executed a fine volley.
