Morecambe won for the first time in five Enterprise National League matches, earning a 2-0 victory over Brackley to move level on points with 20th-placed Sutton.
Morecambe hit the front in the 25th minute as Jack Nolan took possession of the ball outside the area and let fly with an effort that zipped into the bottom right corner.
The Shrimps doubled their lead with 20 minutes to go. Jake Cain forced Jonathan Maxted to push his free-kick away but Maldini Kacurri was on hand to tap in the rebound.
Morecambe had to withstand pressure from Brackley to keep their clean sheet intact but could have had a third themselves as Nolan tried again from distance but his effort flew centimetres wide of the post.
