Wealdstone hang on for draw to end Forest Green’s winning run

Forest Green’s run of four straight National League wins was brought to an end as hosts Wealdstone rallied to claim a 1-1 draw.

Isaac Moore headed home a 25th-minute cross from Jili Buyabu to give Robbie Savage’s side hope of maintaining the pressure on leaders Carlisle.

Kyle McAllister also came close for Rovers before Micah Obiero prodded home the leveller through a crowded box on the hour mark.

In a dramatic finish, Wealdstone keeper Dante Baptiste foiled an 89th-minute effort from substitute Aidan Dausch, and fired the ball upfield, where Daniel Nkrumah’s strike was saved by Harry Isted in the Rovers goal.
