Morecambe goalkeeper Jamal Blackman saved a late penalty to help his side battle to a goalless draw against Yeovil in their Enterprise National League match at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
The Shrimps – looking to build on Tuesday’s win over Brackley – had the better of a low-key first half, with Jack Nolan’s free-kick saved, which Yeovil goalkeeper Jed Ward kept out and Gwion Edwards fired the rebound over.
Yeovil improved after the break and had a chance to break the deadlock in the 80th minute when Tahvon Campbell was bundled over in the area, but Blackman pulled off a fine save at full stretch.
The hosts then almost won it in stoppage time when Ludwig Francillette sent his header wide from Nolan’s cross.
