Doncaster ended a 10-game winless run with a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over Peterborough.
Jordan Gibson scored twice in an excellent first half from Rovers but Peterborough roared back after the break and narrowed the deficit through substitute Harry Leonard.
Gibson opened the scoring on seven minutes when he met Luke Molyneux’s fine delivery and finished well across Alex Bass.
And he doubled the advantage on 24 minutes as he collected a stinging pass from George Broadbent and finished well between Bass’ legs.
Peterborough changed their approach at the break and pulled a goal back on 50 minutes when Leonard turned onto a pass from Archie Collins and found the corner from the edge of the box.
Posh pushed hard for the leveller with Doncaster keeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala producing excellent saves to deny both Leonard and Matthew Garbett.
Billy Sharp should have wrapped the game up on the counter-attack but pushed a shot wide when one-on-one with Bass.
And time ran out on Peterborough’s comeback with Rovers holding firm under pressure in the later stages.
