Wycombe ended a run of five games without a win in all competitions as they defeated Bolton 2-1 at Adams Park.
Thierry Gale gave Bolton the lead but the hosts responded with goals from Jack Grimmer and Armando Junior Quitirna before half-time.
The Chairboys nearly fell behind inside two minutes, when Gale struck the post from point-blank range after getting on the end of an Amario Cozier-Dempsey cross.
But Gale found the mark in the 16th minute.
A brilliant long diagonal cross from Josh Sweeney found the striker, who smashed home on the volley.
Wycombe eventually woke up and peppered the Trotters with numerous attacks, which saw them turn the game around before half-time.
They equalised in the 40th minute when Dan Harvie’s cross was knocked down by Jamie Mullins for Grimmer to smash home his third goal of the season.
Three minutes later, Junior Quitirna struck. The Bissau-Guinean native, on what was only his third league start since joining from Crawley in the summer, beat three players before firing past Teddy Sharman-Lowe.
And it proved to be a winner as Bolton failed to respond in the second half.
