Second-placed Lincoln underlined their League One title credentials with a dramatic 2-1 win at promotion rivals Stockport.
Rob Street coolly converted a penalty in added time after Stockport substitute Jack Hunt was penalised for bundling over Lincoln dangerman Reeco Hackett.
It looked destined to finish all square after Jayden Fevrier’s 52nd-minute strike cancelled out Hackett’s first-half opener.
Fevrier tapped home his second goal of the season after Ollie Norwood’s penalty was kept out by goalkeeper George Wickens.
But the visitors had the better of an entertaining second half, with Tom Hamer flashing a shot wide when well-placed before Jack Moylan drilled into the side-netting.
Street struck a post in the 76th minute with a header from a pinpoint Dom Jefferies delivery.
Wickens had to be alert to keep out Jack Diamond’s shot but Stockport struggled as an attacking force throughout.
Street had the final word to extend Lincoln’s unbeaten league run to five matches.
It was their first away league win since the end of September and kept them hot on the tails of leaders Cardiff.
