Huddersfield made it three straight league wins for the first time since December last year and moved into the top six as Joe Low and Bojan Radulovic struck in a 2-0 victory over Northampton.
After a cagey first half hour, Huddersfield began to get the better of the game and twice went close from set pieces, only for Cobblers keeper Ross Fitzsimons to deny Radinio Balker on both occasions.
Low finally broke the deadlock in first-half injury time, staying in the box after a set piece and nodding home Lasse Sorensen’s cross from the right.
Huddersfield wasted several chances to double their lead after the break as Alfie May and Radulovic both put presentable opportunities over the bar in quick succession.
Northampton applied the pressure late on in search of an equaliser but were unable to test Terriers goalkeeper Lee Nicholls.
And just moments after Balker made a last-ditch sliding tackle that stopped Elliott List getting clean through on goal, the hosts counter-attacked through substitute Dion Charles, who squared for Radulovic to score.
