Gustav Lindgren nets late leveller as Peterborough extend unbeaten run

Super substitute Gustav Lindgren hit a late leveller as Peterborough stretched their unbeaten run to five League One games with a 1-1 draw against Reading.

Lindgren equalised 10 minutes after coming on to cancel out Daniel Kyerewaa’s first-half opener with 12 minutes to go.

Posh will feel they should have won it after a host of good chances went begging.

Harry Leonard and Matthew Garbett both failed to find the target during a good opening by Peterborough.

Kyerewaa put Reading in front after bundling home a 26th-minute corner which was won after Peterborough goalkeeper Alex Bass made a mess of clearing a simple backpass.

Finley Burns made a brilliant block to keep Posh out during a goal-mouth scramble in stoppage-time.

Joel Pereria made a good save to tip away a Leonard header, before Jack Marriott forced a simple save from Bass.

Lindgren equalised after tapping home Peter Kioso’s perfect cross after 78 minutes.

Garbett was inches away from a dramatic winner, before Pereria made a fine save to deny Lindgren in stoppage-time.
