Brendan Galloway’s winner helps Plymouth extend winning run to three games

Plymouth extended their Sky Bet League One winning run to three with a 1-0 win over play-off chasing Luton at Home Park.

Player of the match Brendan Galloway hit the only goal in first half stoppage time, pouncing quickest as top scorer Lorent Tolaj’s header from Ronan Curtis’ corner came back off the crossbar.

The Pilgrims’ Matty Sorinola was denied by Nigel Lonwijk clearance off the line in the 13th minute after being teed up by Bim Pepple and winger Curtis came close to marking his home debut with a goal, smashing the ball off the bar from 20 yards in the 39th minute.

Sorinola sent a long-range drive just wide in the 44th minute as Argyle continued to press.

Pepple missed a 53rd-minute opportunity when running through one-on-one, sidefooting wide after keeper Josh Keeley narrowed the angle.

Liam Walsh flashed a shot down the side netting from 20 yards on the hour as Luton started to get a foothold in the game.

Alex Mitchell slid-in to make a brilliant goal-line clearance to deny Jordan Clark after he clipped ball past keeper Conor Hazard.

Keeley then made a brilliant stoppage-time save to keep out Tolaj’s volley.
