Tamworth end goalscoring drought with home draw against Hartlepool

Tamworth scored their first National League goal since January 3 as they earned a 1-1 draw at home to Hartlepool.

Dan Creaney had the best chance of the first half in added time but Hartlepool keeper Nick Hayes saved his close-range effort.

Tamworth were awarded a penalty in the 55th minute but, after Stefan Mols had converted from 12 yards, it was ruled out by the referee.

Pools took the lead moments later when Luke Charman broke down the left and Adam Campbell smashed home into the top left corner.

Mols was not to be denied, though, as he grabbed the equaliser just after the hour mark to secure a share of the spoils.
