Wycombe head coach Michael Duff had a “bit of a moan” at his players despite a 4-0 win over Doncaster.
Strikes from Aaron Morley, his first since his return from Bolton last month, Cauley Woodrow, Fred Onyedinma and Jamie Mullins secured the Chairboys’ biggest League One win of the campaign.
However, Duff did not like how comfortable his side were when going four goals up.
He said: “It was a good afternoon, but I had a bit of a moan at them (at full-time) as we went four up and we started to get ahead of ourselves.
“We start shooting from the halfway line, Dan Casey was overlapping and (goalkeeper) Will (Norris) is chipping balls with his wrong foot.
“Good teams do the right thing all the time. That’s my only gripe, as the best trick in football is whacking it in the net, so keep doing that and don’t let teams off the hook.”
On the performance, he was pleased with his team’s killer instinct, as Wycombe looked very strong going forward.
Doncaster goalkeeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala was on hand to make some very good stops as Wanderers relentlessly attacked the opposition.
They ended the contest with 22 shots at goal – nine being on target.
Duff added: “You would always take a 4-0 and I thought we played every part of the game well.
“I know they are at the bottom end of the table, but they score a lot of goals, so defensively, I thought they didn’t look like they were going to score today.
“From my point of view, the structure of the team was good.”
Rovers boss Grant McCann believes that all four goals were “preventable”, with his side now one point clear of the drop zone.
He said: “I thought we looked leggy, looked flat and looked way, way off the pace.
“All we got was what we deserved and, in terms of the goals, there’s a couple of tidy finishes in there, but they all felt preventable.
“They all felt you could have done a bit better with them.
“The first one kind of sets the boys up in a system in the box that should prevent some stuff like that.
“We tweaked a couple of things [at half-time], but we go and concede two goals in the space of five minutes. Two of the easiest goals ever.
“We were nowhere near today. Absolutely nowhere near.”
