Oli Lynch scored twice as Tamworth dented Boreham Wood’s play-off push with a 3-2 win at The Lamb Ground.
Tamworth went ahead in the 25th minute when Lynch slotted home a pass from Teo Kurtaran and Stefan Mols doubled the lead early in the second half with an angled finish.
Boreham Wood – on a four-game unbeaten league run – pulled a goal back through Matt Rush in the 58th minute. Lynch, though, soon restored the Lambs’ advantage in the 61st minute when he fired in a shot from the edge of the box.
Rush set up a tense finish when he scored his second on the break with 14 minutes left, but Tamworth held out to make it six Enterprise National League games without defeat.
