Josh Stones scored York’s 100th National League goal of the season as they won 3-0 at Aldershot to maintain their promotion push.
The visitors made the early running and took a 24th-minute lead when Ollie Banks ran on to Stones’ lay-off and fired firmly into the bottom corner.
However, Shots goalkeeper Coniah Boyce-Clarke kept them in it with saves from Malachi Fagan-Walcott and Alex Newby, although opposite number Harrison Male had to deny Charlie Warren an equaliser four minutes before the break.
Newby doubled York’s advantage after 59 minutes, converting Jeff King’s cross to score the club’s 99th league goal of the season.
It was left to Stones to complete the century seven minutes from time when he tapped home after substitute Greg Olley had won possession and picked him out.
