Raith boosted their hopes of securing William Hill Championship survival by coming from behind to beat fellow strugglers Airdrieonians 3-1.
Adam Devine rifled home for the Diamonds in the 54th minute but Innes Cameron levelled from close range after the hour mark before Kai Montagu scored twice in the final quarter of an hour.
Montagu first fired into the top corner to put Raith ahead for the first time then headed beyond Airdrie goalkeeper Harry Stone as Rovers moved five points clear of trouble.
Airdrie slipped to the bottom of the table as Ross County drew 2-2 against Dunfermline – although it could have been better for the Staggies, who threw away a two-goal lead and ended the game with 10 men.
Kieran Phillips scored twice inside the first 16 minutes but Callum Morrison pulled one back before half-time while Andrew Tod levelled after the interval, with Sean Mackie seeing red for a second bookable offence in stoppage time.
Third-placed Arbroath got back to winning ways after four successive draws, with Gavin Reilly’s 16th-minute strike enough to secure a 1-0 victory over Queen’s Park.
Aaron Comrie’s third-minute header was the difference as Morton moved five points clear of ninth-placed Ross County with a 1-0 win at Ayr.
