Morecambe knocked Rochdale off the top of the table with a shock 4-2 away win to revitalise their National League survival hopes.
Morecambe started the day eight points adrift, but a brace from Lewis Payne and further goals from Jack Nolan and Ben Tollitt sealed victory.
The win lifted Morecambe to 22nd, six points off Eastleigh with four matches left, while Rochdale have been leapfrogged by York after a first home league loss since December.
Rochdale looked on course for another routine victory when Aidan Barlow broke the deadlock in the 19th minute, but Payne netted either side of half-time.
When Nolan struck with 18 minutes left, Jim Bentley’s team looked set for all three points, only for Ian Henderson to immediately pull one back, but Tollitt sealed a vital victory for the away side in the eighth minute of added time.
