Burton picked up another precious point in their battle for Sky Bet League One survival in a goalless draw at Mansfield.
The visitors had the best chances and will feel they deserved all three points, while the Stags’ consolation was an eighth league game unbeaten.
Burton twice came close in the opening four minutes. Charlie Webster volleyed over from an Udoka Godwin-Malife cross then Tyrese Shade saw his low shot from a Kyran Lofthouse rattle the left post.
The Brewers missed a sitter after 21 minutes as Jake Beesley lifted his finish over from seven yards from a square ball by Lofthouse.
Shade did have the ball in the net on the hour, but was quickly flagged offside.
Mansfield finally worked the goalkeeper properly after 62 minutes as substitute Rhys Oates’ shot on the turn forced Collins to parry.
Beesley scuffed a finish from six yards straight to home keeper Harry Lewis from a Lofthouse cross and seven minutes later, he sent a flying header wide from Toby Sibbick’s near-post cross as Burton ended the game strongly.
