Bradford battle back to beat Wycombe

Bradford came from behind to beat Wycombe 2-1 at Adams Park to boost their play-off hopes.

It only took Wycombe six minutes to draw first blood in the contest. Caolan Boyd-Munce set it to Andre Vidigal, who danced inside Matthew Pennington and curled a finish past Sam Walker.

The Bantams’ best chance of the half came 10 minutes after they went behind when Bobby Pointon was played in from an Ibou Touray header. Will Norris was quick off his line, though, to parry the effort behind for a corner.

Five minutes after the break, Bradford got themselves back on level terms. A cheap turnover from the Chairboys allowed Stephen Humphrys a one-on-one with Norris. The Wycombe keeper saved the initial effort before Pointon lashed home the rebound.

Bradford turned the contest on its head in the 68th minute when a deep free-kick from Max Power found the unmarked Aden Baldwin, who strode into the box and lashed home the cross on the volley.

Nathan Lowe should have done better when teed up inside the Bradford box late on, but the Stoke loanee scuffed his strike as the Bantams held on to move up to third.
