Amario Cozier-Duberry stars with double as Bolton blow away 10-man Stevenage

Amario Cozier-Duberry helped Bolton steady their play-off nerves with two goals in a convincing 5-1 win against top-six rivals Stevenage in Sky Bet League One.

Brighton loanee Cozier-Duberry, starting his first game for Bolton since January, put his side ahead in the 13th minute with a left-footed effort from 20 yards.

The second came on the half-hour mark from another loanee, Celtic striker Johnny Kenny, who tucked his shot home after an impressive run from Thierry Gale down the left.

Stevenage’s night got worse when Daniel Phillips was given a straight red card for an elbow on Kenny just before half-time.

Bolton took full advantage and Cozier-Duberry scored his second of the night four minutes after the break, finishing neatly from close range after a clever flick from Sam Dalby.

Dan Kemp scored a spectacular consolation in the 64th minute but Ruben Rodrigues restored the three-goal cushion three minutes later, combining with Mason Burstow to stroke a shot into the bottom corner.

Burstow – yet another loanee in the Bolton line-up – then got his 12th goal of the season nine minutes from time, stealing in after goalkeeper Filip Marschall had parried Kyle Dempsey’s stinging shot.
