Southend continued their Enterprise National League play-off push with a 2-0 win at Aldershot.
A bright start for the Shrimpers saw Gus Scott-Morriss hit a strike wide and Oliver Coker had an effort saved.
They found the opener in the 35th minute when Scott-Morriss fired a free-kick past goalkeeper Pat Nash and Charley Kendall doubled their advantage in the second minute of first half stoppage-time.
Coker went close twice after the break and Tyler Frost had an effort saved for the Shots, who finished the game with 10 men after Sam Inwood was sent off in the third minute of added time.
