Leo Farrell’s first goal for the club rescued a point for 10-man Barnsley deep into added time against promotion-chasing Bradford.
Vimal Yoganathan was shown a red card early on and, after Nick Powell had cancelled out Eoghan O’Connell’s opener early in the second half for the hosts, Bradford thought they had won it through a Marc Roberts own goal.
But Farrell bundled the ball home six minutes into added time to send the home fans wild.
Yoganathan left the referee no choice but to show him a straight red card eight minutes in for a poor lunging tackle on Ibou Touray.
O’Connell atoned for an earlier miss by heading in a long throw from Roberts in the 50th minute to give Barnsley the lead.
Powell levelled in the 73rd minute, heading home from close range after good work by Stephen Humphrys.
Barnsley’s Reyes Cleary was denied what looked like a stonewall penalty and was instead booked for simulation.
Bradford went in front in the 82nd minute as Roberts headed a Touray cross into his own net, but Farrell scrambled the ball home in added time to salvage a draw.
