Peterborough and Burton played out a 1-1 draw which moved the sides four points clear of the League One drop zone.
Charlie Webster’s first-half opener was cancelled out by Harry Leonard’s 15th goal of the campaign at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Matthew Garbett saw an early free-kick parried away by Burton stopper Brad Collins, with Tyrese Shade then missing a decent chance for the visitors when he blasted over from close range.
James Dornelly should have done better when he nodded Garbett’s corner wide five minutes before the break, and it proved costly with Webster breaking the deadlock at the other end soon after when he slotted home Shade’s cross.
Posh goalkeeper Alex Bass produced a good low save to keep out Shade’s strike early in the second period, and Dornelly squandered another huge opportunity when he directed a free header wide from point-blank range.
But Leonard, who moments earlier had fired wide, levelled when he drilled an effort into the bottom corner on the hour mark.
Leonard almost stole victory when his strike was beaten away for a corner by Collins, before Webster sent an audacious late effort whistling over the bar.
