'Stop use immediately' - Hundreds of electric blankets recalled amid serious fire fears
There are approximately 867 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
The Competition and Consumer Protection commission have alerted the public across Ireland to a major recall that is currently underway over serious fears of fire risk.
Dunelm, a home furnishings store based in the UK, are recalling certain batches of the Dunelm Cosy & Warm Electric Blankets.
The product poses a risk of fire. The copper wires in the cable may fray, causing overheating during use, which may lead to fire.

Locate the care label on your electric blanket (attached to the fabric) to check your barcode and batch matches the affected products. Only 2022 and 2023 batches are affected, for example the batch number shown below is from 2023 and therefore affected.

What to do:
If you have this product, please stop using it immediately and unplug from the mains.
