Tipperary businesswoman settles tax case with Revenue Commissioners for over €210,00
A Tipperary businesswoman made a settlement of over than €210,000 in the last quarter of 2022 with the Revenue Commissioners, according to the latest tax defaulter list issued by the Revenue Commissioners.
Mai Madden of 108 Main Street, Templemore, is described on the list as a clothes retailer trading as Mai's Boutique.
According to the figures, she is liable for a total of €210,492 made up of €126,159 in tax due; €44,485 in interest and €37,848 in penalties.
The figures show that as of December 31, 2022, she still owed €70,492.
The settlement came as a result of a Revenue investigation case into the under declaration of PAYE/PRSI, USC and VAT.
Five Tipperary people were fined €2,500 each by the courts in the same quarter for the misuse of marked diesel.
They were: Roy Forde, 47 Cormack Drive, Nenagh; Jonathan Joseph Ivers, a PAYE employee, of 8 Church View, Ballingarry, Thurles; Jason O'Reilly, of 13 Haywood Close, Clonmel; John Reilly, Bohereenduff, Fethard Road, Clonmel, and Martin O'Reilly, Ballybrien, Monard.
