'Football For All' has gone from strength to strength in Peake Villa football club.
The all-inclusive, all-playing vibe has brought the fun and comraderie of football to many in the Thurles area and beyond.
The current adult first team are the current TSDL champions and once more the growing Thurles club has led the way for others, this time inviting players of all ages and abilities to partake in football.
The Football for All programme is made up of players from all groups and sporting bodies that cater for people with a disability who want to play football. At the moment the FAI have approximately 3,800 players participating in all of their programmes nationwide.
In Peake Villa FC, they have over 30 new members since they started the new team for players of all abilities earlier this year.
The club is planning a fun day this Saturday - 16th of September - in the club grounds from 11.30am to 1.30pm - where they will have balloons, face painting and exhibition games. Refreshments will be served as well.
