RIP: Brother of Tipperary All-Ireland hurling winner passes away sadly

A brother of legendary Tipperary hurler Len Gaynor has sadly passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 7th, 2024.

Born in Melbourne in 1937, Des is predeceased by his beloved son Sean, parents Michael and Eileen, granddaughter Eadaoin, sister Julie and brothers Ned and Kevin.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Maureen and cherished family Michael, Eileen, Ned, Sean & Marie, his 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, brother Len and sisters Mary, Imelda, and Maelisa, sons in law Kevin, and Noel, daughters in law Lara, Lisa & Pam, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

He will be reposing at Kilruane Hall this Saturday from 4 pm to 7 pm. Remains will arrive at Kilruane Church on Sunday for his Requiem mass at 1 pm.
