A shining light in what was an otherwise awful year for Tipperary; Maher was immense at six for his side on Sunday.
He cleaned up so much possession, won high ball, hit players with tackles and even pointed a booming second half point.
He is the full package in terms of ability and leadership but he has been ploughing a lone furrow all year.
