UPDATE: Work has kicked off on the new Shane MacGowan mural in Nenagh

Tipperary Town-based mural artist Neil O'Dwyer is making fast progress

Earlier this year, councillors in Nenagh agreed to fund the Shane MacGowan memorial at the junction of Emmet Place and Mitchell Street with €35,000 being set aside for the project.

Recently Tipperary Town-based mural artist, Neil O'Dwyer, won the tender to design the mural in Emmet Place, he began work on the mural this week and is making fast progress.

Neil is an artist who is famous for his spectacular murals and artworks which can be seen in many places around county Tipperary and all over Ireland.

Neil has worked from his native County Tipperary since the early 1980s, his murals and artwork have featured in the press and on national television, in documentaries about renowned sports personalities such as Micheál O Muircheartaigh and the late great Moss Keane.
