At 27 years old, he can hardly be called one of the new kids on the block but the Ballingarry man will have excited supporters with what he can bring to Tipperary this year.
He looked like a player who has had a lot more appearances at this level, scoring some fine points, winning the first-half penalty, and banging in a class second-half goal to seal the win.
It couldn't have gone much better for him.
