Clonmel Racecourse
Clonmel Racecourse's biggest day of the year takes place today, Thursday, with the running of the Clonmel Oil Steeplechase.
The first race of a seven-race card goes to post at 12.37.
This will be the 23rd year of sponsorship by Clonmel Oil and the race has an illustrious roll of honour which includes household names like Dorans Pride, Beef Or Salmon, Sizing Europe, Douvan and Allaho.

There are four runners in the field for this year's renewal, headed by strong favourite Il Etait Temps from the Willie Mullins yard.
Last year’s race was won by the Willie Mullins-trained Saint Sam.

As well as the three Clonmel Oil sponsored races, a very attractive programme includes the prestigious TA Morris Memorial Irish EBF Mares Steeplechase (Listed), and a Connolly’s Red Mills Irish EBF Auction Maiden Hurdle.
The day concludes with the Racing TV Flat Race.
In a first for Clonmel Racecourse, TG4 will broadcast six races live, bringing national coverage to the event.
Racegoers can also look forward to live music in the Club Stand Bar after racing.
DJ Histon, Manager at Clonmel Racecourse, expressed his gratitude to Clonmel Oil for their continued support and to all sponsors on the day.
He looks forward to welcoming a big crowd to Powerstown Park this afternoon.
The going is described as yielding to soft.
