Rail passengers in Tipperary are being advised of significant service changes this Saturday, 8 November, due to essential Irish Rail engineering works taking place between Killonan Junction and Roscrea.
Tipperary County Councillor Louise Morgan Walsh has shared details of the temporary alterations, which will see a number of bus transfers replacing train services throughout the day on the Limerick–Ballybrophy line.
According to Irish Rail, the following substitutions will apply:
07:00 Limerick to Ballybrophy – will be replaced by bus transfers departing at 6:45am from Limerick to Castleconnell, Birdhill, Nenagh, and Ballybrophy. A second bus will leave Nenagh at 7:40am serving Cloughjordan, Roscrea, and Ballybrophy.

17:10 Limerick to Ballybrophy – replaced by buses departing Limerick at 4:50pm and Nenagh at 5:46pm, serving the same stations.
09:00 Ballybrophy to Limerick – replaced by two bus transfers, one covering Ballybrophy, Nenagh, Birdhill, Castleconnell, and Limerick, and another covering Ballybrophy, Roscrea, Cloughjordan, and Nenagh.
19:05 Ballybrophy to Limerick – similarly substituted by bus services along the same routes.
